Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus), a versatile vegetable crop, plays a vital role in global food systems due to its nutritional and economic importance. Enhancing the growth and yield of red and green okra varieties through sustainable farming practices has become a priority in modern agriculture. Organic fertilization emerges as a key strategy, offering a holistic solution to improve soil health, boost crop productivity, and ensure environmental sustainability. This review examines the impact of various organic fertilizers—such as compost, vermicompost, and biofertilizers—on the growth, flowering, yield, and quality of red and green okra plants. Organic amendments not only provide essential nutrients but also enhance soil structure and microbial activity, promoting robust plant growth and higher yields. The findings emphasize the potential of organic fertilization to serve as an eco-friendly alternative to chemical fertilizers while addressing the challenges of nutrient management and crop productivity.
