What’s Open Access
Traditionally, subscription-based journal publishers or owners own the copyright of published articles in most cases. Individuals or institutions who intend to read the full text of published articles will be charged for subscription. Those who want to use any content in any format must get permission first from the publisher or owner and then pay additional fees for the use.
Open access means that research outputs are available online to all readers without any barriers. Authors retain the copyright of their own works under this publishing model. Readers are able to use and share this content as long as they obey the license that the publisher adopts. Generally, the publisher will charge the authors for processing the article to cover the publication cost. This cost may be paid by research sponsors, institutions, or authors themselves.
Our Open Access Policy
Plants Science Archives (ISSN 2518-6965) provides immediate open access to all published content. All the articles of Open Exploration are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license to further facilitate open access and improve academic exchange among researchers. Under this license, authors hold the copyright of their works, and they agree to make their original works completely available and free to use, copy, and redistribute in all formats without their permission as long as the authors and the original source are properly cited.
Why We Endorse Open Access
Quicker and Wider Spread
Open-access publishing provides a quicker and wider spread for academic outputs.
Enrich the Public Database
Open access publications highly enrich the public academic database.
Plants Science Archives (ISSN 2518-6965) is an open-access journal, signifying that all content is accessible to users and institutions without any fees. Readers have the liberty to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles without obtaining prior permission from the publisher or the author, aligning with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.
While open access offers advantages to the scientific community, it also entails greater responsibilities. We adhere to ethical publishing guidelines established by reputable organizations to ensure the integrity and credibility of the research disseminated through our journal as DOAJ, OASPA, WAME and ICMJE.
